Tier 1 General - Points Calculator - UK Experience Section

You can score maximum 05 points under Tier 1 (General) Scheme for your UK Work Experience or UK Full Time Studies.

If you have completed a recognised UK Bachelor's Degree or above, within last five years you may be eligible to score 5 points under this section.

Alternatively, if you have scored points for Previous Earnings based on your earnings in the UK, you may be eligible to score these 5 points. Please note that you cannot score 5 points for UK education and 5 points for UK earnings of over £25,000. You can score max. 05 points under this section

UK Experience Section for Tier 1 (General) Scheme – Max Points 05
You can claim five points if you have previous experience of living in the UK if either:

  • You have successfully scored points under the previous earnings category and your earnings were in the UK; or
  • You have studied and graduated at Bachelors degree level or higher in fulltime higher education in the UK, or at a UK-based overseas educational institution, for at least one full academic year.
You can only score a total of five points in this category. You can not score five points for UK earnings and five points for UK qualifications.
