A2. You will need to score a total of 70 points for a Skilled Worker Visa under new Points Based Immigration System for the UK from 01 January 2021.

A3. You will have to score 50 Mandatory Points and 20 Tradeable Points to qualify for a Skilled Worker Visa.

A4. Mandatory points for a Skilled Worker Visa are available as under:

1. Job Offer from an Approved / Licensed UK Employer - 20 Points
2. Job at Appropriate Skill Level - 20 Points
3. Knowledge of English at Required Level - 10 Points

A5. Tradeable Points can be scored as under:

1. Salary (higher of £25,600 and Going Rate) - 20 Points
2. Salary (higher of £23,040 and 90% of Going Rate) - 10 Points
3. Job on Shortage Occupation List - 20 Points
4. Ph. D. in STEM subject relevant to the job - 20 Points
5. Ph. D. in subject relevant to the job - 10 Points

A6. You can switch to Skilled Worker Visa within the UK if you are currently living in the UK under one of the allowed categories, including Tier 2 ICT (Intra Company Transfer) visa. A7. Home Office publishes the Approved Sponsors' Register regularly so you can find if your employer is included on the list. We also periodically download the list and include the registered employers on our points calculator pages. So if you do not find your employer on our calculator pages or on Home Office's published register, you should be very careful as there are many bogus emails doing rounds.
