Tier 2 Visas for UK under Points Based Immigration System for Sponsored Skilled Workers
(To be discontinued from 2021)
Tier 2 Visas UK - Tier 2 General, Tier 2 Sportspersons, Tier 2 ICT (Intra Company Transfer), Tier 2 Minister of Religion.
UK Employers can sponsor Skilled Workers from non-EEA countries if they cannot find a suitable settled skilled worker within the UK or EEA nations.
UK employers are required to have Home Office license as Employer Sponsor under Tier 2 before they can sponsor any skilled worker of non-EEA nationality under Tier 2.
If you are a skilled worker and if you have received an offer of employment from a licensed UK employer, alongwith Certificate of Sponsorship (COS), you can apply under Tier 2 of Points Based System of UK, however Employment Offer and Sponsorship Certificate are not enough to get Entry Clearance or Leave To Remain under Tier 2. You also need to score the Points under Tier 2 of PBS to successfully get the Tier 2 Visa. You need to score the points for your Education, level of English language knowledge, your offered salary level and maintenance fund apart from having a valid Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) from a UK employer.
Tier 2 Visas UK are divided under following categories and you can find more details by clicking the links:

A Word of Caution:
There are some bogus email messages offering employment in the UK doing rounds and if you have received an offer for employment in the UK which is doubtful, you should make proper investigations to make sure that you are not being a victim of such a fraud. In such cases we would like to advise you to make a complaint to Home Office. Genuine UK Employers do not ask for any money from prospective employees and if someone asks for any payment, you should be very cautious.
